The 41st Printer’s Row Lit Fest was held Saturday and Sunday this past weekend in the old printing district of Chicago along South Dearborn Street. Upwards of 100,000 book lovers attended the three-block long event that featured over 140 exhibitors. Long Overdue Books sponsored a large tent and hosted their writers.

I managed to underestimate the number of books I would need and sold out by midday on Sunday.

We had clear, sunny weather all day Saturday and until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday when a light rain arrive, but by then I was done for the day. Too many hours of standing on concrete took its toll on my feet. By the time I was walking to the train station on Sunday, I was pretty sure my aching ankles were trying to pass my knees.

The book is currently available as a soft-cover from the publisher or from me. I am working on wider distribution, including an e-book and a hardcover, through bookstores and Amazon. Not sure about the timing.

My first post is, of course, to announce success in creating my website. Authoring the pages has been an interesting learning experience as I learned to almost master the website building tools with all their nuances. Good news is the site is now up and functional. The only remaining task is to link to the publisher’s web page when he posts my book in his store.
