You won’t find the village of Oak Cliff on any map of Wisconsin. While the Uplands Area of southwestern Wisconsin and many of the surrounding towns mentioned in my mysteries are real, the village of Oak Cliff is a work of fiction and resides only in my imagination and hopefully in yours.

As ideas for the village and its residents took shape in my mind, they found inspiration in many of the small towns I’ve visited over the years.
